If you want to add a bit of punch to your web pages and make them look professional, pretty, and polished, then Xara 3D is definitely the piece of software for you. What is it and what does it do?Xara 3D offers users a fast, easy and effective method to give their web pages maximum impact, and as we all know a web-page that catches people’s attention is a profitable web page, right? You can now create top dollar 3D headings, buttons and logos for your sites, as well as experimenting with a whole host of styles, size and flavours of text. You can also select background colours and textures to match your web page. What we especially liked about Xara 3D is the simple and easily understandable interface. It’s very idiot friendly and once you’ve finished creating your masterpieces by creating an endless variety of 3D graphics from TrueType fonts or imported 2D shapes, you can tweak the depth, lighting, bevel colour, texture and shadow with a whole host of shoes. Oh, and did we mention, it’s a walk in the park to export them to your web page. Pros: Very fast, doesn’t take up much memory, simple to use, and hugely effective. Job’s a good one.Cons: As far as we can tell it only work on Windows, but we could be wrong. Conclusion: After playing around with Xara 3D for hours we’ve fallen in love with it and its quality graphics makes us feel like professional web-site designers. Nuff said!
