The description of XML Transmitter - Play With New Friends
XML Transmitter Editor's Review
XML Transmitter is designed for programmers. It can help you test Web Services, because it sends an XML instance (request XML) to any address you choose. The application can use the SOAP, HTTP, or FTP protocols to send and receive data. I am personally not a fan of complex user interfaces. In my opinion a simple interface can help boost productivity. However, a program has to have a working user interface, and unfortunately XML Transmitter doesn't always have one. Especially when resizing certain windows, you can see that not everything is resized accordingly. Another thing that bothered me was the fact that the user interface responds a bit too slowly. This probably happens because the application uses the .NET Framework. The configuration (program settings) can be saved and loaded later. With just a few clicks you can test any web service. Pluses: XML Transmitter supports importing WSDL files. You can import this type of files in order to create a SOAP message together with the HTTP headers. The application also supports applying XSL templates to XML files or to server responses. Drawbacks / flaws: In conclusion: This software is free, so you can give it a go when you need to test a web service. version reviewed: 1.8.3
