The Emodox WordprocessingML.NET library for the .Net2.0 framework enables developers to produce sophisticated MS Word documents from their .NET2.0 applications, without having Word installed. The format our library uses is Microsofts new format for storing their Word files: The Word XML schema called WordprocessingML. This format is around since Office 2003 and in Office 2007 this is the default file format (although extended in the .docx format). While completely different than the good old binary Word format, the WordprocessingML format saves all of the same information that is saved in the binary format. Our library can load these Word files, modify them and save them, without losing any of the original content. Create rich 'template' documents and do some databinding or other runtime-modifications, all at high speed. Currently, this version of WordprocessingML.NET only supports the Word 2003 XML schema, but this format is fully supported in Word 2007, and even documents created in 2007 and saved as 2003 XML format are no problem.
