The description of WMRecorder (Windows Media Recorder) - Play With New Friends
Audio recorder designed especially for Windows Media and RealPlayerRecording sound on your PC shouldn't be complicated but Windows Media Player and RealPlayer can often put enough barriers in your way to make it so.With all recording demos, there's always an annoying limit that's imposed and in the case of WMRecorder, it's 5 minutes until you purchase a registration code which comes at a rather hefty $50. Installation is a bit lengthy and you'll find that unless you've got RealPlayer 10 installed, it won't record RealPlayer streaming from the internet. Once it's installed, it shows you all the possible input streams that it will record from. The look and feel of WMRecorder isn't great. It looks and feels like rather a cheap application although it seems to do it's job fairly well. One particular annoyance however is an advert for "WinPcCap" which pops up and tries to install itself. To get recording, you're instructed to enter a URL in the WMRecorder interface to record from and simply hit record. All recordings are saved in the same location but only in Mp3 format.WM Recorder is not one of the greatest audio recording applications I've ever used but it just about does the job it's supposed to.WM Recorder is not one of the greatest audio recording applications I've ever used but it just about does the job it's supposed to.
