Early 2018 finally saw the Early Access release of the horse-based fighting game with character design from acclaimed animator Lauren Faust. A surprisingly well-polished and complete game, Them's Fightin' Herds is a fairly standard 2D fighter notable for smooth animations and a dynamic sound track. Fighting is based around a four button input control method, which allows new players to play with ease while leaving a decent skill cap. At release, the game only contained 6 playable characters and no campaign mode, but additional content has been promised. Also included is a pixel art hub world with social interaction.MediocreThem's Fightin' Herds is an average 2D fighter with an interesting backstory. A striking similarity to other fighters make it more suitable to fans of My Little Pony and Faust's art-style over hardcore fighting players.
