A Great Example of a Movie-To Game Done WellMovie-to-game tie-in’s can always be a risky move, particularly since most movies don’t seem to convert to proper video games very well; either because of money or because the developers aren’t sure how to create interesting enough action sequences in the game without resorting to complex puzzles or boring platform scenarios.Luckily The Adventures of Tintin seems to have avoided such pitfalls, supplying a fun, if somewhat short lived gaming experience. The game supplies a hearty mix of adventure and action game, occasionally making you solve puzzles, but never once becoming a grating or annoying experience. The game takes you through the adventures as seen in the movie, while maintaining enough of its own storyline to stop the player feeling like they’re just playing a direct copy cat of the movie (and to stop possible spoilers that might occur!).It’s a fun enough game with surprisingly good 3D detail and an interesting enough experience. It’s just a shame that the experience isn’t particularly long lasting. You can play as Tintin, Snowy and Captain Haddock, each supplying their own different take on actions you need to perform within the game, while also keeping the game refreshing to play. Once you’ve completed the game though there isn’t much left to do, which might deter you from buying it. Then again if you’re an avid fan of the cartoon, it’s definitely worth taking a peek at.Pro's: Fun to play, good story, interesting character gameplay
