As an RPG, you’re not going to be alone, though. You can create an adventuring party and all of your goblin’s distinct evolutions are job classes you can use on the battlefield. Need a nature whisperer? The Druid is your guy. Need more curses? You can try partnering up with a Shaman. Tenderfoot Tactics’ combat system is also unique in how there are no random miss chances or damage ranges.
