When Capcom started the Street Fighter series back in 1987, they surely didn't imagine that they were about to revolutionize the gaming industry (that was almost exclusive to video arcades at that time). Nevertheless, in 1991, Street Fighter 2 "The World Warrior" managed to break the mold. This Street Fighter 2 Special Champion Edition is a kind of remake or version that allows us to choose the final four bosses of Street Fighter 2, the famous M.Bison, Balrog, Sagat and Vega, apart from enhancing the original characters Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, E.Honda, Zangief, Blanka, Guile and Dhalsim, all of them with new attacks. The background settings have been redesigned, and the AI has been improved to make the combats much more challenging. Of course, once this version was developed, they fixed some minor bugs found in the original game. We shouldn't forget that it was this game that allowed other games like Fatal Fury, The King of Fighters, Mortal Kombat, Art of Fighting, Killer Instinct, Samurai Showdown or World Heroes to be published, because it marked a milestone in fighting games.
