Test your aim and try some target practice with Shooting! Tired of battlefield-based first-person shooters and looking for something classier? Shooting! is a shooting sports simulator developed by ExistA, which tests players' dexterity with timing and mouse control against a range of targets. A variety of shooting challenges Shooting! puts players through their paces with different types of targets, from static ones to moving objects. The controls are absolutely seamless, and gameplay is fairly straightforward once you figure them out. That said, however, the clay pigeon mode, which involves shooting targets out of the air, is extremely challenging – luckily there is a handy radar/map on the bottom left-hand of the screen to aid navigation. Fun but with very limited scope… Although mastering hitting the moving targets will take time, there just is not enough depth in this game to sustain interest for more than an afternoon's worth of play. There is, for instance, no variety of weapons, and the competitive element of the game is next to absent. Shooting! is a novel idea, but without a multiplayer mode or leaderboard system, there seems to be very little to play for.
