Thanks to Resurrect Pages you can now solve that problem, because when it detects that the page is down, it connects automatically to the cache services of Google Cache, Yahoo Cache, CoralCDN, The Internet Archive and MSN Cache.
Resurrect Pages will show you the page not found message and the list of cache services where you can find the information.
