A noble attempt at a VR tourist game Realities tries to give you a VR trip to five different locations where four of them are actual photographed locations. It tries to put you in real places but through your virtual headset. A noble demonstration of reality building Realities is not a game. The creators have taken hundreds of photos of different locations and have knitted the photos together into a VR environment. It is like the VR equivalent of Google maps except that three of the locations are the interior of old buildings. The photographs that the creators took are what make up most of the detail, but they have added other things such as moving objects and dust. The game takes a long time to download, and you can blow through the locations in about ten minutes. You can stand and admire the locations if you wish. A nice experiment that may lead to more One feels awful saying bad things about Realities because it is clear that the developers have done a lot of work to create these environments, but the places are only of passing interest to the actual people who visit them physically, so they have even less appeal to people wearing VR headsets. It would have been nice if people could have seen something that is harder to see in real life, such as the inside of a rabbit burrow or the scene of an in-action car crash. Even if they kept the locations, it would have been fun if people could have walked around and played Pokemon Go in them.
