The description of PIPE by BMX Streets - Play With New Friends
A BMX stunt simulator PIPE by BMX Streets was built for the BMX community and is not a typical BMX arcade game. More attention has been put into realistic BMX motions and less attention has been invested to the game player experience. A realistic simulator with so-so graphics PIPE by BMX Streets is a game where you ride a BMX bike through and over a variety of different obstacles both in an arena setting and in a small town. The way the bike moves, reacts, and even the way it angles itself in the air is highly sophisticated and very realistic. Controlling the bike takes skill, which you have to learn as you play, which is why many people find the controls tricky and frustrating. However, they represent a balance between the way you move your player and your bike, and the way that physics, gravity and momentum affects a moving bike. Sadly, the graphics are still in the era of Playstation 2, which is a shame. Interesting for BMX lovers PIPE by BMX Streets is woefully unfulfilling for everybody except BMX enthusiasts, which is a shame because transferring such thought and attention for BMX simulation into something such as a VR game, or even a VR game with a cycle, could have made this BMX simulator into a world beater. The development team have clearly worked very hard to ensure the game’s BMX motion and physics are as real as possible. It is just a shame that all this effort has gone into a format that is as limited as a PC or console where the user is only holding a controller. Still, this game should help define and develop the future of BMX games.
