Photo Pos Pro is a powerful image viewer, editor and graphic creation solution, which you can use for quickly retouching your photos or for creating elaborate designs. It has support for many photo file formats, and you can use it to import images from scanners or digital cameras, which you can view as thumbnails with the 'Picture Browser', integrated within the program. It also displays detailed information about the images, like file info, dimensions and EXIF data. Photo Pos Pro has a complete collection of tools for editing images, such as Advanced Image Enhancing and editing tools and functions, Tools for creating Computer Graphics, Rich Text Tools, Special Effects, Selection Tools, Layers & Masks, Gradients, Patterns and Texture, Script Tools, etc. It is up to you to choose between them, for creating interesting effects and graphics. The program offers great help for beginners, which can be accessed from the help menu. Tips, tutorials, 'how to' guides, a full index and even 'search' for keywords are available. It seems like the program's magic key is F2. This key reveals the hidden options for brushes, line tools, shapes, text and many other, therefore it is most used. All these tools are fully customizable, and you can set a transparency level, choose a color mode, a blending option, the width and height, as well as the opacity or density of a brush, etc. The software enables you to perform a variety of operations on a number of picture files at once (a Batch Operation) and by doing so, makes it possible for you to save time by not having to perform monotonous operations on each separate picture file (for example, you can reduce the size of all the picture files in a certain directory and improve their quality by sharpening them all at once without having to open each file separately). You can remove unwanted objects from images, reduce the red-eye effect, create special effects, add mask frames to images, add text and text effects and many more. Pluses: It offers great support for learning. Drawbacks / flaws: You cannot duplicate a layer from the 'layer properties' window, therefore you have to insert the same image in a new layer if, for example, you want to choose the 'multiply' blending mode.
