Network Inventory Reporter for Windows
The description of Network Inventory Reporter - Play With New Friends
Network Inventory Reporter Editor's Review This program is a tool which gathers information about your network, presenting it in a low quality user interface. Data about network hardware, program groups, and programs (running on the computers on the network) is collected and displayed. The buttons on the user interface look quite sloppy, as if they were resized to seem bigger. Network Inventory Reporter is not a professional solution for network administration in my opinion. It's designed to help people find out details about the computers running in their network, including the list of running programs, services, or user accounts. The first step you need to take is scan your network. If you are lucky, you should be able to view a list of all the computers on the network. If not all the computers are added automatically, you can add a new computer by entering its name or IP address. Pluses: Drawbacks / flaws: This program has some stability issues. For example, when you scan the network, the user interface stops responding. Also, sometimes the program displays an error and closes itself. Other error dialogs have texts like "Failed to initialize security", which don't have a clear meaning for a simple user. I have to say I also had fun with this software. When I pressed the "Home" button on the toolbar, a dialog appeared asking me "Do you want to go to a home page". I will never know what homepage it meant because I pressed "Cancel" and closed the program. In conclusion: This program left me with the impression that it's not finished. version reviewed:Features
