Blast through waves of enemies and dodge streams of bullets to defend the core and surrounding tower defences.Dodge and duckReleased by computer parts manufacturers MSI and set on a giant motherboard littered with logos, MSI Electric City: Core Assault is a free VR download which some may cynically claim to be nothing more than a giant advertisement. This isn't the case, however, as it is also a basic mini game. The single level throws waves of enemy ships at the player as they control a simply controlled aircraft as they dodge and shoot. Some small amount of variance is available in the form of power ups and game modes, but MSI Electric City: Core Assault only contains 15 or so minutes of actual content. What is available is professional and fun, but this is at best a test or introduction to the concept of control a ship in virtual reality.Arcade styleMSI Electric City: Core Assault is a free virtual reality mini-game with a small amount of decent gameplay. Zipping around a 3D rendered motherboard is fine for what it is.
