The GCH guitar course is a program designed to help you learn to play the guitar. This unit, the 2nd, of the multimedia course, is intended for students who have played guitar for more than one year and for students who already finished the 1st unit of the course. This course is extremely well structured. In my opinion, if you already know the basics of guitar playing, you might try and develop your guitar playing skills by using this program. The program is beautifully divided into sections, each section containing accurate descriptions or explanations; of course, there is also a lessons database, scheduled for every week of the year, that is, if you want to learn how to play the guitar as quickly as possible. The introductory section contains the presentation of various guitar types and guitar effects; this section contains also a guitar tuner for acoustic and electric guitars and a metronome. Other sections of the program contain details about finger style, plectrum style, how to read music and musical theory. The chords chart is also described as well as the scales and there is also a neck guide which can be quite useful for when you might want to improvise for backings in various keys. Pluses: Beautifully structured and scheduled guitar lessons for a quick learning process. It includes a metronome and guitar tuner. Drawbacks / flaws: In conclusion: A very well developed application which also contains tools for practice: metronome and guitar tuner.
