The description of Kittypocalypse - Play With New Friends
Tower Defence Just Got CuteHordes of adorable alien kittens are attacking. It's your job to set up your defences and protect your home from the onslaught of cuteness in this virtual reality tower defence game.Kitteh! At its heart, Kittypocalypse is a relatively standard tower defence game. You spend your time preparing your defences for the coming waves of furry death, upgrading and repairing in an effort to keep the kittehs at bay. There is some story to the game but it's not really significant. The main draw is the game itself. The cartoon graphics are very well done, and the game generally looks good. The game play itself will be familiar to anyone who plays tower defence games. The developers could perhaps have taken more advantage of their virtual reality platform, such as giving players the ability to manually take over towers. There are a few modes to try out—including a campaign mode—and fifteen different areas to do battle in.Good, Not GreatThe overall game is good. Undeniably so. But the way you are placed means you spend a lot of time looking down which could hurt your neck after a long play session. There also seems to be a lot of opportunity missed, such as with the aforementioned turrets and thin back story. The game is definitely worth its price tag, but it could have been so much more.
