The description of Husk - Play With New Friends

Revisit the horrors of the past in HuskHusk is a first-person perspective indie horror game in which you take on the role of Matthew Palmer, a train crash survivor wandering alone through the eerie small town of Shivercliff. As you explore the area, you'll learn that there's more to Matthew than you initially suspected.Haunting atmosphereHusk is clearly inspired by other survival horror games like the Silent Hill series or Alan Wake. Like them, it also tries to tell a deeper, more psychologically-grounded story than just the tale of a lone survivor wandering a spooky town. It's a good thing, too, because the game's evocative atmosphere is much more compelling than its by-the-numbers exploration and stealth gameplay. The town looks beautiful, but the game could be better optimised, it's very demanding graphically. It's also not very long: don't expect more than an evening or two's worth of gameplay out of this title. The 1990s setting is filled with nostalgia-inducing references for gamers who grew up in that era. A word of warning: Husk deals with some pretty dark themes, including alcoholism and domestic abuse, which might not be to everyone's taste.Evil doesn't just mean monstersIf you're in the mood for an atmospheric psychological horror game, don't mind dealing with some pretty challenging themes and have the patience to deal with some technical challenges, Husk might be the off-kilter indie title for you.
