Hexprobe Hex Editor for Windows
The description of Hexprobe Hex Editor - Play With New Friends
Hexprobe Hex Editor Editor's Review Hexprobe is a good tool for editing binary files, but it can also display and allow you to edit disk drives and system processes. The application is certainly designed for professional users, so it seems to serve its purpose well. In terms of user interface, Hexprobe is not astonishing. I think the user interface is decent, considering that it is quite customizable. Like I said, there are three types of data that can be edited using the program. On the bottom of the workspace window, you can choose which type of data you want to open (file, process, or disk). Please note that only data sections smaller than 256KB are supported during the evaluation period. The application enables you to mark and associate data. In order to accomplish this, you can define so-called data-marks. There are two types of data-marks (conditional and normal). Another way to mark data is to set line-marks. These can be defined by double clicking the left side of the output-space window. Pluses: The "Tools" menu provides access to several built-in utilities like the file comparer, the hash, CRC, and checksum value calculators, and the base converter. Another thing that adds value to this application is the 'search' functionality. You can search through pretty much any type of data, through files, active processes, or through raw disk data. Drawbacks / flaws: In conclusion: Hexprobe makes hex-byte editing and data-pattern analysis quick and easy. I appreciate this software's powerful features. version reviewed: 4.31Features
