There are so many football games available that if you love this sport, there are too many options to choose from. There are so many, that it's hard to find the right game. If you used to play on old arcade machines, you're probably into pixellated games with 2D graphics. If that's your case, congratulations because Dino Dini's Kick Off Revival is available for PC, a remastered version of the 1989 classic.

Retro-style football
If you don't know much about football, you're probably thinking that this Dino Dini guy was the star of some important club back in the 80s' but he really is the video game's developer (he might have been quite good at football as well, you never know). What makes this title different to the rest of games we're used to is its retro 2D aspect with a top-down view (just like in the old Zelda games) but at 60 FPS.
From there on, playing the game is a real challenge. Learning how to play is relatively easy but mastering the gameplay will require lots of patience and practice. The controls are simple and based on gestures but, once mastered, you'll be able to make use of a wide range of movements. There are four different game modes:
Tutorial.
Practice.
Match.
European Cup.
You can play online against other users or invite your friends to humiliate them on the pitch. You can even play multiplayer matches offline, whether friendly or European competition matches.
Playing this game is a sport altogether.
To be able to play this game, you'll require a control pad or a gamepad, being compatible with the following:
Xbox 360.
Xbox One.
Steam.
Logitech Dual Action.
The majority of USB joysticks.
Although it didn't require a Kickstarter campaign, its first users enjoyed early access through Steam although, at that point, it was only available in French. Now it's available in six different languages including English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Chinese. Sounds good, doesn't it? Shame that you'll have to pay to play.
