Fight for your life in ARK: Survival of the FittestARK: Survival of the Fittest is a multiplayer survival arena game in which players battle each other in a changing environment populated by numerous hazards. It's a spinoff of ARK: Survival Evolved, with both crafting and combat skills necessary to claim victory. Survivors find themselves catapulted into a wild environment, with clusters of starting resources located in the centre. Think Hunger Games with dinosaursIf you've played ARK: Survival Evolved, you'll be familiar with the basic gameplay of ARK: Survival of the Fittest. Like in the main game, you'll explore the landscape, gathering resources, crafting items and taming animals while avoiding both dangerous wildlife and your fellow players. However, the pace is much faster, with a typical game lasting only 35 minutes -- or less if you get clubbed to death by a half-naked person in the first ten minutes.To further complicate matters, occasional Evolution Events modify the environment, keeping things unpredictable. You might find the temperature suddenly increasing, for instance, forcing unprepared players to run for shade or shelter. Whoever survives the early part of the game will find a 'Ring of Death' narrowing the playing field, forcing the survivors into an enclosed area where they will battle it out to determine the winner.Fast-paced monster battlingIf you feel like you've mastered ARK: Survival Evolved, ARK: Survival of the Fittest is a fun way to pit your skills against other survivors, alone or with friends.
