Alive Backup for Windows
The description of Alive Backup - Play With New Friends
Alive Backup Editor's Review Alive Backup is a small data backup utility. It can be very useful in case of computer crashes because you will be able to preserve your sensitive data instead of losing any of it. The is very simple to install and use. Backups of files and folders (and subfolders) can also be performed according to a schedule (at time intervals or at a certain hour daily). The backup location can be either a local folder, a removable drive or a network drive. The program appears to be more like a file copying utility, since the backup options are not so numerous. Like I said before, you can backup files and folders. You can choose to backup predefined folders such as My Documents, Outlook, Outlook Express or you can choose your custom folder to be backed up. The thing is that you can't select multiple folders to be backed up (only when these are subfolders contained in another folder). However, you can include or exclude files or folders in/from your backup operation. Pluses: A nice feature is the fact that you can test the target folder for read/write permissions. Drawbacks / flaws: You can't compress folders or restore a backup using the program. Files will be copied to a destination folder and you will manually copy them back. In conclusion: This program can be used for simple backup tasks. version reviewed: 1.1Features
