It offers 15 characters and a reasonably balanced combo system.Classic Looks, Classic GameplayFATAL FURY SPECIAL is a good-looking game, even today, largely because its art style has several unique aspects that aren't replicated by other fighters on the market today. Its gameplay is a retread in some respects, however: the series doesn't have very advanced combos by this title, nor does it have many very advanced mechanics at all. It also only supports local multiplayer, but ultimately, the impression is that Fatal Fury is made to be played single player; doing especially well unlocks easter eggs, and the game throws curveballs during the story mode that it can't or doesn't during multiplayer games.Nothing To Be Furious AboutIf you enjoy the story modes of other fighting games, Fatal Fury Special will probably appeal to you, as that's the main portion of the game here, not the multiplayer that many other fighting games focus on.
