Vuze is a great piece of software that lives so that you can hunt down films, TV programmes and videos. It lets you download them and watch them. Vuze is versatile. It lets you watch your stuff on a variety of devices – the usual suspects like Tivo, PS3, Xbox 360, PSP, iPhone, PC and Mac. It’s mega easy to use and you can download a video in a click. Neat, huh? First up, at set up you have to download a handful of sites which is a pain in the proverbial. But in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t take that long and it’s worth the effort for the end results. It’s worth noting that if you want mainly new stuff, you might find yourself lumbered with trailers. Pros: The new version has better search capacity and it has a great new interface that those of us who are plugged into iTunes will recognise immediately. Very vuzer friendly.Cons: Vuze never sleeps, and sometimes you might need it to go bye byes if you need to free up your RAM for anything. This is a tiny faff as you’ll need to get your task manager involved. Conclusion: It’s free, it’s fast, it’s fantastic. Or at least it is once you’ve got it set up. It’s worth doing though because you’ll get to see and hear some really cool stuff.
