Originally for Linux, Jack OS X is a low-latency audio server that lets you, on one side, connect several different applications to one single audio device; and secondly, transfer audio between several applications.Jack OS X consists of four tools: the server Jack and its graphic interface, called JackPilot; JackRouter, which lets any application that uses CoreAudio be a client of the Jack server; and other plugins that boost all its features.Some applications like Ardour require the installation of Jack OS X in order to be used.
