Zombie Blast Squad is a puzzle game with hints of RPG. Your mission in this game is to lead a group of heroes, which are all survivors of a zombie apocalypse. However, this time the culprit wasn't a virus or voodoo magic, but the evil General Kreig, who you'll have to try to defeat by any means possible. The combat system in Zombie Blast Squad is pretty original. In the middle of the screen, you'll find a panel filled with colored squares, and at the top, you'll find your enemies. Every time you touch a group of two or more squares of the same color, you'll destroy them and launch an attack upwards (where hopefully the zombies will be). As usual in the genre, the more colored squares you manage to destroy with a single move, the more damage you'll inflict and the more possibilities you'll have to create special squares. One of the great things about Zombie Blast Squad is the enormous number of heroes that you can unlock and add to your group. Each of the characters in the game has its own attributes and special abilities, which you can use during the battles against the zombies. A good technique, for example, is to always take a character with healing abilities. Otherwise it's possible that the zombies will end up killing one of your heroes. Zombie Blast Squad is a good combination of puzzles and role-playing. Although it doesn't have a particularly original story, it does offer a charismatic cast of characters and excellent graphics. The gameplay also incorporates some original elements that are a whole lot of fun.
