Wingy Shooters is a multidirectional SHMUP that puts you at the controls of a fighter plane that you'll use to face endless waves of enemies of all kinds. In each of the levels you'll have complete freedom of movement. You can fly in any direction and explore as much as you want. However, you have to keep your primary goal in mind at all times; because the only way to complete the level successfully is by reaching your goal. The controls in Wingy Shooters are incredibly intuitive and perfect for touchscreens. To control your plane, all you have to do is touch anywhere on the screen and slide your finger slightly in any direction. With this virtual joystick, you can perfectly pilot your ship, controlling both the direction and the speed. As is usual in the genre, the shooting is fully automatic. Your plane will be constantly launching bursts of destruction from its front end, so you only have to worry about aiming them in the right direction. Once you start playing, your objective will usually consist of destroying a certain number of enemies. This task, which may be easy at first, will become increasingly more complicated as you come across tougher and tougher opponents, capable of taking down your ship at the slightest hint of carelessness. This is especially true in the case of the bosses, which, although they will pose colossal challenges, will also bring you huge rewards. After all, every enemy you manage to defeat will be converted into coins. And with these coins, you can unlock new ships to take to the skies, as well as improve the ones you already have in your hangar.In all, in Wingy Shooters you'll be able to pilot more than twenty ships, each one different from the rest. When you start playing you'll only have a red combat ship, but as you complete missions and earn coins, you'll be able to acquire many more. From a helicopter gunship to a futuristic ship to a giant duck, each of the ships will offer a slightly different experience from the others. Wingy Shooters is an outstanding SHMUP on every level. Not only does it have a control system that's perfectly adapted to mobile devices, but it also manages to offer a totally satisfying and natural gameplay experience. It's a treat for fans of the genre and, even more importantly, an excellent starting point for anyone who wants to get into it.
