The description of Atriviate Online Trivia - Play With New Friends
Online Trivial Pursuit-style game for AndroidAtriviate (previously known as Triviados) is a trivia game in the style of the popular Trivial Pursuit board game.AtriviateHow to play AtriviateThe object of Atriviate is to fill your wheel with colored segments. You do this by rolling the dice to move around the board, and must answer a question on every square you land on to keep playing.Questions are divided into categories (sports, geography, shows, art and literature, etc.), with each one represented by a different color. Segments in Atriviate are only awarded if you land on the main square for a particular color.Atriviate is a two-player game where you play against an online friend. You can choose to play against a Facebook friend, enter the email address of another player, or play against a random opponent. You then take it in turns to play, and you receive a notification when your opponent has taken their turn. There's even a chat option where you can exchange messages with your opponents. The waiting gameAtriviate is fun to play, though it can be frustrating having to wait for your opponent to take their turn. It would've been nice to have the option of a local two-player mode where you swap the phone between two people - or even a single-player practice mode. Poor presentationThe design of Atriviate is bright and colorful, and the feel of it is very true to the original Trivial Pursuit board game (though not exactly the same because it's not an officially licensed version). However, the implementation of Atriviate isn't perfect and you'll probably notice several design and programming flaws. Among the defects we noticed were long questions that don't fit properly on the screen, server errors during challenges, and even questions with the wrong answer! We can only hope that these issues are ironed out in future versions of Atriviate. The verdictThe presentation of Atriviate is a little rough around the edges, but if you're a fan of the Trivial Pursuit board game you'll enjoy this version. The presentation of Atriviate is a little rough around the edges, but if you're a fan of the Trivial Pursuit board game you'll enjoy this version.
