Showly is an open source tool that allows you keep track of the movies and TV series you have watched. It also helps you discover new titles, as you can configure the feed to receive personalized recommendations. However, the developers themselves warn that this platform is not for watching movies or series.
One of the main advantages of this application is that it provides a large amount of information and, in that sense, it is a perfect alternative to IMDb. Within each title's tab, you will see synopsis, actors, notes, list of chapters, trailers, user comments, and the streaming platform where you can watch the content.

And that's not all: this app also puts at your disposal functions to create a collection of watched and unwatched content, as well as a notification system that sends alerts when new episodes are available. The system is also compatible with Trakt.tv and both platforms synchronize quickly.
