They say that if you feel lonely, the best thing to do is have some human contact. This application offers us something similar. With Replika: My AI Friend you will always have a (digital) shoulder to cry on. This is a chatbot with which you can chat at any time of the day, offering you the possibility of creating a more or less real emotional connection. Although it is not advisable to watch the chapter of Black mirror before using it.
The free version of this tool allows us to "talk" with the bot we choose at any time and place. Its personality will develop as you tell it your stuff, so that you will grow together. The developers tell us that no two Replikas are the same, since it will be you the one who guides your bot while it gets to know you and the world. The more your bot knows you, your conversations will be more personal and real, which can even be a little bit scary.
