Punch Quest gives a new twist to the 'endless runner' genre. Instead of simply going along dodging obstacles and enemies (the common format in these games), here you have to destroy them with your fists. In fact, it basically replaces the jump button for an 'uppercut' button, allowing you to build yourself up for a big running punch.The main objective in the game is the same as with all the other titles in the genre: get as far as you can before your enemies cutting your race short. The difference here is that, this time, you have to batter your enemies and try to pull off combos, thereby multiplying your score.In addition, you get lots of 'power ups' that, for example, allow you to throw fire punches, causing even more damage. But thing get even stranger, and you can end up riding a dinosaur that shoots lasers from its mouth, or become a dwarf and bounce around the screen knocking out all the baddies. Of course, you can also unlock new special moves and much more besides.Punch Quest is a lot of fun, and has quickly become a true benchmark of the genre. It not only offers something new, but does so in a very entertaining way and with beautifully realised graphics where both the characters and the scenarios have been designed with great care.
