No smartphone should be without a good mapping and navigation app. This one we have in our hands is a great alternative to the most common (Google Maps and Waze, above all), offering us a lot of tools that will be very useful to guide us both on foot and on the road if we need an internet connection.
The alternative to Waze and Google Maps
Navitel is an offline navigation tool for mobiles. The first thing we have to do when we download the APK file is to select the maps we want to use.
This way, we will always have access to the directions, even in the most remote places. It also gives us a lot of useful tools:
Specific routes for cars, motorcycles, bicycles, vans, trucks and even pedestrians.
Up to three alternative routes with time and distance indications.
Position tracking with friends and joint route planning.
Weather forecasts anywhere in the world for the next three days.
Information on fuel prices, film schedules and other useful information.
Data and notifications about traffic accidents, speed cameras, road works and other events added by users.
2D and 3D maps.
Route calculation taking into account the current traffic.
Simple interface available in a lot of languages.
Voice navigation, including battery charge warnings and satellite connection.
Possibility to include an unlimited number of stops in the route.
Customised display mode.
Accurate offline GPS navigation with free geospatial services and detailed maps of 65 countries.
This app is very cool and extremely useful. You can try it for free for a few days, but if you like it, you can try it at the checkout counter.
