That we are trashing the planet and that climate change is already upon us, are two undeniable facts. Do you want to do something about it? This application invites you to carry out ecological actions and share them with the world, so that we can all get inspired to treat nature in a more respectful, rational and civilized way.
This application comprises three main activities: green, pink and black footprint.
Do your bit to help the planet
There is a lot of work to be done if we want to avoid the destruction of our eco-systems. If you want to encourage others to lend a hand in the process, why not tell them what you have done to reduce your environmental impact? My Green Footprint will help you to do precisely that, and presents its approach in three sections:
Green footprint. This is where ecological activities like recycling, cleaning the seas, or planting trees are addressed.
Pink footprint. In this section, you will be able to view and register humanitarian or altruistic actions, such as donating blood or helping the less privileged.
Black footprint. Lastly, this is where you will be able to see societal actions that people have performed, like plugging public water leaks or fixing damaged roads.
You will be able to read about the footprints of other users and display your own, in order to inspire others. Participants are located through the GPS on their Android devices, meaning that you will be able to see where each registered action has taken place. Also, you will be able to earn points for each activity that you perform and post, and climb in the world table. The app’s design is basic and slow, but it is as good as any other for inspiring and encouraging others to do their bit.
