Monster Hunter Stories: The Adventure Begins is an action game with elements of RPG gameplay. Adapted to Android, this game was originally released for Nintendo 3DS back in 2016. The main difference (along with its more neutral esthetics) is the fact that this time around combat is turn-based. MSH is inspired by the animated TV cartoon Monster Hunter Stores: Ride On, where heroes were Riders instead of Hunters. What that means for you is that your character will have to hunt down creatures in order to obtain prime materials to build onto your equipment, but he'll also be able to train up and tame monsters as well. This game continues in line with standard JRPG and MMO games in terms of map exploration, leveling up and farming objects as you play. When it comes to visuals, you'll find that the game develops beyond what your standard mobile Android game might aspire to. So, it's pretty obvious that this title was initially designed and thought out for traditional consoles. Even so, Monster Hunter Stories never fully casts aside its multi-player origins and allows you to interact with other online users when it comes to finding new adventures and challenges.
