Monkey is an app to meet people more directly by using videochats, letting you narrow down chat partners by gender and pick a category from several available ones.After a quick registration – in which there's no requirement to upload photos, unlike on other social networks – you can start using the app. On the first screen it runs the search for people who match your criteria, gender, and category, and starts a video call or (if you've ticked this preference in the same window) a text-only chat.On the left of this screen you see your friends, including Snapchat posts if they've linked their accounts. On the right are the different categories to pick from, with a tree opening out from the selected one to let you narrow down your search to the people who appear in that category. Monkey has a time limit of 15 seconds for meeting the person, and it can be expanded or that person added as a friend if you're interested in carrying on the conversation.
