Augmented reality has become a common element on almost all smartphones thanks to different applications, whether focused on our leisure or our professional tasks. Google has been working in the field for some time, and that has led to ARCore, an SDK conceived to offer us augmented reality support on Android. The Google Play Services for AR APK development kit offers us the advantage regarding others that it will be compatible with over 100 million devices from all over the world without requiring specific hardware. Furthermore, we expect this list to be quickly increased, so don't hesitate to download Google Play Services for AR Android for free.
Augmented reality for everyone
How Google Play Services for AR APK works is based on the fact that our camera will take care of establishing anchorage points in a room to fix the position and orientation of our smartphone at all moments. Thus, we can place virtual objects with plenty of precision, such as on horizontal surfaces, being able to set their dimensions according to the height of the object or the ceiling. In turn, the room light sensor will help to make sure that the virtual objects adapt to the light conditions of the scenario.
With regards to compatibility issues, at present, it's supported by Samsung, Pixel or Nokia models, whilst we wait for the list of compatible phones to grow in the near future when it will be more profitable to download Google Play Services for AR Android.
