It is an Android-based app that turns your smartphone into a mobile indoor unit for your Gira door communication system. The app works in conjunction with the Gira DCS-IP gateway for iOS and Android smartphones and allows you to see who is standing in front of your door, talk to the visitor and even open the door remotely, if you are in the garden or shopping in the city. The app ensures security by requiring a PIN to open the door. The Gira DCS mobile app offers excellent voice quality and features like audio and video door communication, early media video starts before the call is answered, group calls, speakerphone, discrete speech function, volume adjustable during the call, microphone mute, push notification, Gira ringtone, managed change of network connection type, broadband management, and an award-winning Gira interface design. The images are refreshed twice a second in the first version, with further functionalities expected to follow in later updates. The system requirements include a Gira door communication system audio or video and a Gira DCS IP Gateway (firmware version 4.0+).
