Final Fantasy Awakening (aka. Final Fantasy Type-0 Online) is an action MMORPG based on the über-famous saga by its creators: Square Enix. Specifically, this time around the game is all about the sub-series titled Fabula Nova Crystallis—a sub-plot that takes place within Final Fantasy XIII. Combat systems in Final Fantasy Awakening are based on the same PSP gameplay from Type-0. Face off real-time against tons of enemies by using any of the attack buttons found on the right of your screen. Outside of turn-based play, combat in Final Fantasy Awakening is far more dynamic than its predecessor. To boot, you'll be summoning iconic invocations from the saga including Bahamut, Ifrit, and Shiva. Laying the groundwork for the entire game, you'll follow along with its story mode and take part in cinematically styled events. From Arena mode combat to 9v9 player battles (and other challenges)—you'll be hooked regardless for at least a couple of hours. Final Fantasy Awakening (Global) is the saga's finest release on Android, bringing you ever closer to the real experience of playing the smash hit JRPG—from your phone. That said, there is a twist in gameplay and a heightened focus on action this time around, making for a slightly different take on the saga—plus its graphics are striking.
