Etherlords is the third installment of a turn-based strategy and roleplaying series that first reached a high level of popularity at the turn of the century. This new title comes more than a decade after Etherlords II, and with a thorough facelift on all levels, to boot.In Etherlords, players control a superior being who must battle in an infinite universe for control of different worlds. To do this, players don't act directly but rather control a group of smaller creatures who themselves can fight your enemies. In total, there are more than 180 different creatures with unique powers, abilities, and attributes.Battles in Etherlords take place in turns and always involve six characters: three controlled by the player and three enemies. All the characters automatically attack on each turn, but players can activate special skills in one of the three creatures, like healing, special attacks, or other effects.Between battles, players can create new worlds using the tiles they win in combat. They can also combine creatures to make stronger ones, with almost infinite combinations.Etherlords is a strategy and role-playing game with outstanding graphics, plus a control system perfectly adapted to touchscreens. A very good game that picks up the mantle of a very good series.
