Owing to the slowness with which the developers of WhatsApp apply changes to this instant messaging and chat application, dozens and dozens of MODS have sprung up which allow you to customize your user experience on it. Among them we find DELTA YOWhatsApp, which is in turn based on another MOD: YOWhatsApp.
