The description of Deep in the Dark - Play With New Friends
Deep in the Dark is a roguelike that, unlike most games in that genre, doesn't have turn-based combats. Each character's (or monster's) attack and ability has its own cooldown period, but since there are no turns, you can move freely throughout the settings, trying to quickly escape unpleasant situations. Before you start, you create your hero by choosing from different classes and races. Each class and race has its own abilities and unique attributes, so you should pick one or the other depending on the type of strategy you want to use. The dark elves, for example, are better as sorcerers, an excellent class for fighting from a distance. The way Deep in the Dark develops is standard for the genre. You can move your character freely around the dungeon collecting treasure, weapons, and armor while confronting tons of monsters. Killing monsters gives you experience points that help you level up, and as you level up, in turn, your character gets stronger and improves his abilities. Deep in the Dark is quite a good roguelike that offers an attractive experience overall. It's not one of the best in the genre, but it has enough quality to get any fan of this type of game hooked.
