Despite WhatsApp's strong presence amongst instant messaging and chat apps for mobile phones, there are loads of other alternative services to message our contacts: Facebook Messenger, Telegram, LINE, Viber... and also Bolo Chat, the app from India that's trying to make its own way.

We'll find all the usual functions in this kind of application, other than exchanging messages in real time, such as sending images, making calls, voice messages... You won't miss anything at all so if you were thinking of switching from WhatsApp to another app... don't do it. But you can at least download Bolo as a decent alternative just in case the service goes down.
