One of the greatest problems for people with hearing problems, whether they are completely deaf or have simply lost an important percentage of their hearing capacity, is trying to follow or take part in a conversation. Ava is an app that intends to mitigate this handicap by offering us voice-to-text transcriptions in real-time.
A real-time speech-to-text app
How it works is as simple as offering us a real-time voice transcription. Thus, anyone with severe hearing problems can read on their Android's screen the entire conversation transcribed as it is taking place. The greatest advantage of this application is that it allows us to take part in online group conversations with other users.
The voice identification accuracy is quite precise but we have to bear in mind in that, in any case, it can be quite complicated due to the fact that conversations can be somewhat informal (and we don't speak and pronounce as if we were dictating) and usually take place in noisy environments.
