Afterland is a unique card game that stands out specially because of its incredible aesthetics paired with distinctive character design. The entire game looks sort of like a dark children’s book, or a nightmare inside a twisted mind. That said its enchanting visuals hide a pretty special card game. Collect tons of cards, each one with magic and protection abilities. Of course, you can also create bundles of cards that can help you fight through the story of the game. The problem with these combats, which may seem spectacular at the beginning, is that they develop automatically. You literally don’t have to do anything during them...and this can be confusing. There are times that you may be wonder why something is or isn’t happening.Afterland is a beautiful card game that has truly delightful visuals but it’s not particularly fun. It is a special game though.
